I drew this while I was on the Korean bullet train from Seoul to Daegu. I was missing our colourful American cars. The huge majority of private cars in Korea (this is South Korea we’re talking about) are black, grey, silver, or white. Hyundai and Kia are HUGE.
And as for this comic, it required mad maneuvering skills to get that car into that messed up parking space, thank you very much.
I like your car drawings.
The car in the mature geek interview was much better–I actually drew it from a tercel photo. And I have a pretty good cadillac drawing somewhere that’s going to be used eventually in a comic.
That guy is right…hahah
That’s how it goes. 🙂
Yup.
People here park like that a lot too. I have noticed the less colourful cars becoming popular. And all the grey, silver & other duller colours are less visible in poor weather too.
One thing I noticed over the years too, many of the parking lots now paint the lines for what would be fine for small cars only.
The slots are gettin’ thinner, especially on pay lots. You can still squeeze a caddy in there but you have to pop out the sun roof cuz even if you can crack the door open a bit, you can’t squeeze your bum through the crack.
We rented a house in Brisbane once & the block was so narrow that you had to let passengers out at the driveway gate & when you drove into the carport on the left of the house you had to almost hit the carport pole with the left hand mirror & you still only just had enough room on the right to get out.
Aw, man! What a bummer. That’s the kind of buzzard-luck I have. Good one, Colleen!
