A friend of my husband’s shared his “Bill Gates the early years” story with me recently. We were just chatting while we waited for my husband to get off a conference call. We eventually wound up at W.E.’s place and met his wife. This comic is an amusing little true story in its own right but it’s even better if you’ve actually met J.E. She takes absolutely no crap off of ANYBODY!! This comic is published with their permission. My own Bill Gates story happened somewhat later in time, and would not make a very good comic. I proxied for my sick boss at a fairly pointless lunch meeting once where Bill Gates was present. I remember thinking, money or not, I’ll bet it will be a while before that chap lands a female. And I was right. But obviously not comic material.
Bill Gates - 1982,
Fly up or fly down it's still Bill Gates!!!
He did such a great job with Facebook didn't he??? 😛
Um…. no. That was Mark Zuckerberg. However, I'm sure Gates was an idol of Zuckerberg's.
I came here to grab your banner/badge/logo for my "Today's Featured Site" & I couldn't find one…
OK I Googled Tix Comix Logo & found your running one for Tomorrow's featured site
Thanks Tony! I just updated my theme and unfortunately I thought I was doing a child theme but I wasn't (I think the new wordpress is better but I can't upgrade WP for a couple of months) anyway I lost all my mods and I haven't had time to put em all back in the right way. I never did a banner gallery anyway because it would just make me feel bad because I assumed no one would take them.
I too thought about how hard it would be for him to find a pretty female. Ugly easily, but pretty very difficult. Great minds think alike.
I'd have told him to zip it. Just saying.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
Meh. Melinda could be worse. So could Bill for that matter. It's not really about pretty and ugly, it's about vibes. I had the chance to observe him up close and actually speak with him. And my little attractiveness meter was bleeping: -10, -10, -10….
Awesome, you've been producing lots of comics lately. Cheers!
Ha! Bill Gates was just trying to show the world that he was no a unix!
You can say that again! I guess CP/M was easier to copycat.
